Toddler In Stroller Hit By Car In Crosswalk

A car struck a 2-year-old in a stroller while her mother crossed Pembroke Road near Southwest 64th Avenue, police said.
Witnesses told police that the 37-year-old woman, her 9-year-old daughter and the toddler were crossing from north to south across Pembroke Road when the woman pushed the stroller in front of a 1991 Buick, said police spokesman Carlos Negron.
The driver, Elli Boudereau, 64, of Miramar, tried to swerve out of the way but hit the stroller, Negron said. The 2-year-old was taken to Memorial Regional Hospital with injuries that were not life threatening. Her mother and sister were also taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
