Hit And Run Kills Grandmother

The only information witnesses could tell Jacksonville police about a fatal hit-and-run accident Friday was that the car which escaped was a dark color.

The incident happened on Friday, August 19, at a place less than a block from her apartment in the 5700 block of Lenox Avenue at about 8:30 p.m.

Annie P. Fahie, 52, of Lenox Avenue was walking her three grandchildren home from the library when she was hit by the dark colored car.

Annie Fahie died at the scene of accident. Police are investigating the incident.
