Causeway Crash Injures Two
November 14, 2005
Two Wesley Chapel women were listed in fair condition at St. Joseph's Hospital after a wreck on the Courtney Campbell Parkway a day earlier.
Emma Bell, 70, and Velma Frather, 64, were eastbound in the center lane about 3 p.m. when Bell, reacting to traffic ahead of her, steered her 2001 Toyota sport utility vehicle too far to the right, Tampa police said. The SUV left the roadway, struck a palm tree, overturned and struck another palm tree. Both women were wearing seat belts, but it appeared that Frather's tore during the crash, police said.
