Auto Accident Backs Up I-75 For Hours
November 4, 2005
An accident between an automobile and a tractor trailer left over 100 gallons of diesel fuel on the highway, and backed up all three southbound lanes of traffic on Interstate 75 Monday morning, September 26.
Troopers from the Florida Highway Patrol say that according to witnesses, Maria Fair, 18-year-old of Winter Springs, Florida was driving her 2002 Acura RSX and struck an 18-wheeler driven by 61-year-old Dolly Wade of Durant, Oklahoma.
Maria Fair was taken to Shands Hospital in Gainesville. It is unclear whether Wade was injured as a result of the crash.
Fair received a ticket for careless driving.
