Arcadia Man Dies In Crash
November 7, 2005
Police on Wednesday, September 21, identified the victim of a fatal accident in North Port as Rolando Garcia-Dejesus, a 34-year-old Arcadia man.
Rolando Garcia-Dejesus died Tuesday afternoon, September 20, when a semi-trailer traveling south on Sumter Boulevard moved into the northbound lane, colliding with a pickup driven by Garcia-Dejesus.
A passenger in the pickup, Rodny Perez, 38, of Bowling Green, suffered serious injuries. He was taken by ambulance to Fawcett Memorial Hospital in Port Charlotte.
The driver of the semi-trailer, Wesley Johnson Jr., 29, of North Port, was taken by ambulance to Peace River Regional Medical Center in critical condition.
The investigation is going on.
