18-year-old Killed In I-275 Crash

March 13, 2006

A woman was killed Saturday in an early morning car accident on Interstate 275 South.

A Florida Highway Patrol(FHP) release states that driver Jessica Rasdall, 18, and passenger Laura Gorman, 18, were traveling south in the center lane of I-275 about 3:35 a.m.

The vehicle began rotating clockwise in a southwest direction, and the car's left side hit two small trees on the west shoulder of I-275.

The impact caused the car to flip onto its left side. The roof of the car struck a large tree before landing on its wheels.

Gorman was pronounced dead at the scene.

Rasdall was taken to Bayfront Medical Center.
